Zanmai - Dark Knight - Fong Lye

we woke up at 9.30am this morning. by 10.30am, we got ready to head to The Gardens Mid Valley for a 12.30pm movie.

Breakfast was at Sushi Zanmai. my first visit. not bad. price.......ok . Fair. their food comes either in "small" or "large" portion.
Unagi Don
Shoyu Ramen
Temaki
My all time favourite - Ni Hotate
And......my first visit to GSC Signature. Normal GSC tickets cost RM1o. but at Signature, it cost RM20 per seat. So it better be good. and it turn out well! it was all twin seats at the cinema we went. seats are huge and confortable. we though of going to gold class at first. but after looking at the $$$ - it cost Rm45 per person, and a surcharge of RM30. So all together it cost RM122 for 2 person......haha no thanks. But i am glad we pick Signature to watch Batman. because its a almost 3 hours show!
The Dark Knight everyone......is a must watch! And it could not have done it without Heath Ledger. he definitely deserve an Oscar. really good acting. and not to forget 1 of my all time favourite actor - Morgan Freeman. Evey time i hear his voice, makes me think of the movie Bruce Almighty. Morgan Freeman as God.
i think i saw Edison Chen in this movie too! with only 1 dialogue: "Sorry sir, no mobile aloud int his building".
lunch is at Fong Lye-Taiwan Restaurant
i know they have a branch near to HArtamas TF. not sure if they serve set meals like the one in Mid Valley.
Bump into my secondary school mate Kong You in this restaurant as well.
Sweat Potato ball
Steam fish with pineapple and taiwan marinated sweat bean set meal

3 varieties sweat and sour sauce set meal.
i'll try this the next time i go to The Gardens
WHen i am not doing RPM.....
opppssss.......hehe.......cant resist la.....bump into FF Nick Heng. he is catching the 9pm show.
we stop by at MYoga at the end. 1 of my colleague from FF last time, which is still a member of TF, is now working for MYoga. So we took a tour inside. not bad. very zen. i like the Internet room.

indiana jones and the temple of doom

so, today i finish the 2nd ep - temple of doom. not as bad as alex say it is la. it was more adventurous and less mystical compare to ep 1 and ep3. remember this boy that star along indy as his sidekick as shortround?

Quan was born 'Ke Huy Quan' in Saigon, South Vietnam, and was forced to leave his country when the Army of the Republic of Vietnam was defeated during the Fall of Saigon. His family was selected for political asylum and emigrated to the United States. He attended Alhambra High School in Alhambra, California.
He became a child actor and at 12-13 starred as
Harrison Ford's sidekick in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
After high school, he graduated from the
University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts. He is fluent in Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.

Quan appeared as a child actor in two popular films in the 1980s: as Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and as Data in the cult classic The Goonies.
He then played Sam on the short-lived TV series
Together We Stand (1986–1987) and played Jasper Kwong in the sitcom Head of the Class from 1989 to 1991. He also starred in the movie Breathing Fire (1991) and had a cameo in Encino Man (1992). He last appeared onscreen in the 2002 Hong Kong movie, Second Time Around, alongside Ekin Cheng and Cecilia Cheung.
Having studied
Tae Kwon Do under Philip Tan on the set of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, he later trained under Tao-liang Tan. He worked as a stunt choreographer for X-Men and The One.

all grown up now!

X Games

i saw this on ESPN just now. So.....here you go....my mouth wide open when i saw this.

LOS ANGELES – Already leading last night's X Games 13 Skateboard Big Air event going into his fifth and final jump, Encinitas' Jake Brown went for broke. The Australian native rolled down the 80-foot ramp, then spun two revolutions across a 70-foot gap.
Soaring up the 27-foot quarterpipe after landing, Brown attempted what's called a 540 McTwist, a twisting, turning trick with 1½ revolutions.

What followed was one of the most frightening falls in X Games history. The 5-foot-6 Brown lost his board, his momentum carrying him away from the quarterpipe ramp. Flailing and kicking his arms and legs like a tumbling cat, Brown dropped an estimated 45 feet to the flat wooden deck, landing so violently on his legs that one of his shoes flew across the floor.

For two minutes, Brown lay motionless on the deck.

“I seriously thought he was dead, broke his back or broke both legs,” said fellow skater Pierre-Luc Gagnon of Carlsbad. “That was the gnarliest slam I've ever seen in my life.”

Eight minutes after the fall, Brown stood up, then wobbled off the floor, waving to the crowd. Brown was taken to an undisclosed hospital for observation. Minutes after the deck was cleared, Vista's Bob Burnquist took the night's final run, landed a difficult trick, scored 96.55 points and took first place from Brown. Brown placed second with a 95.33 run. Gagnon took third.

Afterward, skaters were stunned and thankful that Brown walked away from a fall that silenced the Staples Center crowd.

“That's the most terrifying thing I've seen in my life, in the history of skateboarding,” said skater Jason Ellis, who rushed immediately to Brown's side. “His eyes were open and he wasn't breathing. I thought he was . . . dead.”

Ellis said that when Brown regained consciousness, he didn't know what happened.
“As soon as he was up, he goes, 'Do I have another ride?' 'What'd I do?' 'Did I try the 720?' ” said Ellis.

“You made the 720,” Ellis told him.

“What'd I do on the quarter?” Brown asked.

“Nothing, dude,” Gagnon told Brown. “You did nothing on the quarterpipe.”

Gentle Yoga and i do

woo hoo......just did my first gentle yoga class in True Yoga. Yes after so long, i decided to give it a try. it was pretty good! i felt all release and stretch out. i thought it was going to be easy, but it was quite challenging. after class bella ( member) told me today gentle yoga was actually quite hard. so i survive. with twisting, reaching and stretching. i felt happy after the class. just keep on laughing. i was too used to being on stage ( as an instructor), now that i am a student in this class, kinda not used to it .but i like that feeling. we started with breathing technique that require you to shut your eyes. the other members in the class knows what to do. i don't, and i can't shut my eye because i have to see what the instructor is doing. why? cos i cannot understand the
In-glish! but after awhile, then get it.

during the twisting movement, the instructor came and push me to my max limit....ouch! i told him: ok.....ok.....ok! in my mind i was thinking........i still got BC and BP tomorrow! :P abs workout was challenging. need to work on that as my lower back is not strong. i find movement like bending forward easy, with the help of my quite flexible hamstring. but bending backwards is really challenging for me.

in fitness term, bending your neck backwards it not recommended. meaning you can turn your neck left, right, forward, but not back. but in yoga, they do that alot. any advice here?

i really thought it was going to be an easy class but not at all, my heart beat still manage to hit.....i think about 120 to 140 bpm.

lastly we end with a short meditation. where the instructor says : relax completely......as if you are a dead body........:P

overall is was a good experience. will be joining again. after the class......very HUNGRY LAH!

and as usual, i was viewing peeps blog. and yay! so happy for Adrian and SY! i call alex and told him to view adrian's blog ........very romantic leh i say. then alex asked me: why ah? you want also?

i kept quite........
